I Am Sober and Present

I am sober and present .

I awoke this morning feeling alive .

I found myself on my last day of treatment.

I saw something beautiful in the universe.

I thought about staying on my healing journey.

That reminds me of strength, resilience, and courage.

I am sober and present

I believe in the great spirit, Mother Earth and me.

I want to build my intuition and create magic.

I know that I am finding my path

I hope that I get my purpose in life

I am sure about my sobriety and the present moment .

I am sober I am present

I already am recovering

I will learn to make amends

As I journey forward in uncertainty .

I will be guided to my authentic self

I am sober and I am present.

Today we congratulate and celebrate our community member Ashley! She is 90 days clean and sober. She wrote this beautiful poem on her final day of residential treatment at the Canadian Centre For Addictions before coming to the Hampton Home Sober Living House. She was gracious enough to allow this poem to be published on our website.
